Just a little tip: if possible, click on the picture!
Summer 2017. Very hot summer, not only in Slovenia, all the middle Europe countries are just in same situation this year. So it is normal, that people use this hot weather for trips to the lakes, rivers and seaside. So are the treasuers of Slovenia full of people, not only people of Slovenia, there are tourists from all over the world. Most of them from Austria, Germany, Netherland, Italy, Slovakia, Hungary etc. And this is good. They left a lot of money here, on the other hand they are making a good publicity for Slovenian tourism.
And in case you're reading this and wondering: »Why the f*ck should anybody go to Slovenia?«, then just take a look at pictures in my blog.
But, the question is: »Is it always good to have beautiful places full of people?« Well, we can all understand, Bled is a popular touristic point in Slovenia, we can't stop tourists from seeing it anymore. This is something that a tourist, who came in Slovenia, have to see. And it's OK. It really is.
But, for example, lake Bohinj was never so full as this year. And some people are too lazy to walk some meters from parking lot to the beach, they would like to drive with the car direct to the lake, other would like to climb the surrounding mountains with flip-flops, some people don't like to pay for parking etc.

The same situation is in Bovec and other villages and cities around the Soča river. In the last days, when the weather was too hot for swimming in the sea, but perfect for chilling by the lakes and rivers, the local people, not only they didn't have time for relaxing in treasure places, they even didn't have place to relax.

Tourists have found every hidden place, they bring their food and drinks and in the worst case, they even leave their trash in the beautiful, untouched nature.
»Is it really worth to sacrifice the beauty of Slovenian hidden places for »better« tourism statistics?«
